Who Knows the Real Story?

Who knows the real story? The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers test (PARCC)is a required assessment for all Illinois public school students in grades 3-8 and for all high school students in specific courses. The question is: what about children in Illinois who come to school speaking a language other than English and have been assessed as English Language Learners or ELL's? Must they take these "rigorous" examinations in March and May as long as they have been in school for at least one year? How level is that playing field?
