Swedish is Spoken

Did you know that, when Chicago was only 43 years old, (1880), 13,000 of its residents were from Sweden? By 1890, Swedes were the third largest immigrant group in the city of Chicago. You can find out more about Swedish contributions to our city by visiting the Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark Street. You could even learn to speak Swedish!
